• Individuals experiencing a Hypoglycemic Hyperosmolar State (HHS)
• If you are taking:
  • Tylenol (blood level of > 20 mg/dL), or other acetaminophen-containing drugs
  • high doses a Tolazamide with a blood level of > 20 mg/dL
  • Pralidoxime iodide with a blood level of > 5 mg/dL
• If you have a condition that elevates blood uric acid levels (>10 mg/dL)
• If testing blood glucose soon after a xylose absorption test
• Testing above altitudes of 10,742 feet
