With the cap on, lightly shake the control solution bottle a few times. After lightly shaking, take off the control solution lid, place it on a flat stable surface, and add a drop of control solution to the top of the lid. Enter a test strip to your meter and make sure the code on your meter screen matches the strip packet. When it prompts you to apply blood, dip the tip of the test strip into the control solution on top of the lid. The meter will then provide you with a reading.
